Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. CopyPasta is designed as a purely client-side Mac utility—everything you capture or OCR runs on your own machine, and we never see your text or images unless you explicitly choose to send them to our backend (for licensing or GPT-cleanup).

Information We Collect
Account & Payment Information
When you purchase a CopyPasta license on our website, we collect: Your name and email address, payment details (via Stripe), and the license key we generate for you. We do not store your credit-card number ourselves—Stripe handles all sensitive payment data.
License Usage
To enforce plan limits (e.g. number of handwriting pages), we track only how many handwriting-mode API calls your key has made. No other usage telemetry is recorded.
OCR & Handwriting Data
Local Processing by Default
All screen-region OCR runs entirely on your Mac via Apple's Vision/ScreenCaptureKit frameworks—no images or text leave your device.
GPT-Enhanced Cleanup
If you use our "Clean up with GPT" feature, we send only the raw text output from Vision OCR (not the original screenshots) to OpenAI's API to fix OCR errors. We do not store those transcriptions on our servers.
